As a cloud-based operation with offices in more than 40 locations worldwide, having a robust cybersecurity defence was critically important to this travel management company.

Marking the first strategic collaboration between the two organizations, Armor partnered with managed service provider 3Cloud to provide the company with a consolidated Azure cloud management and cybersecurity solution; enhancing the efficiency of its operations and bolstering its cyber defences across its global network.

Implementing its professional tier, fully adaptive MDR solution alongside native Azure capabilities and 3Cloud’s Managed Platform service, Armor has provided the company with a comprehensive security framework that ensures its digital assets are effectively safeguarded and mitigates any potential security risks.

Background: Co-headquartered in New York City and Houston, Texas, this travel management and luxury vacation planning company has offices in more than 40 locations worldwide.

Ranked amongst the top fifteen travel management companies in the world, the company is renowned for delivering an exceptional, highly personalized service, employing more than 2,200 dedicated professionals.

In 2023, the company transitioned its operations to the cloud using the Microsoft Azure platform under the expert guidance of service provider 3Cloud. With huge volumes of sensitive data held across its cloud-based systems, including customer details, payment information, and travel itineraries, strengthening and effecting a robust cybersecurity provision that makes use of Azure’s native features was of critical importance.

Challenge: Prior to its transition to cloud-based operations, cybersecurity support was being provided to the company through the implementation of the Armor Agent for Servers host-based agent.

Whilst the Armor Agent for Servers solution provided the company with a range of effective workload security capabilities, including host-based IDS/IPS, FIM, malware protection, vulnerability scanning, antivirus and log management with unified management and visibility, an updated solution was necessary to fully leverage the capabilities of the native Azure environment post-transition and provide a holistic, easy to manage view of the company’s entire IT estate.

The Solution: As part of its strategic partnership, Armor and expert Azure service provider 3Cloud collaborated to provide the company with a consolidated cloud management and cybersecurity solution; combining their strengths to deliver a programme that effectively monitors security risks, streamlines management and enhances efficiency.

Following a thorough review of the company’s existing cybersecurity posture whilst also considering the available native Azure resources, a tailored solution was devised that would provide a more holistic and robust cybersecurity approach.

Armor’s MDR, which combined Extended Detection and Response with a 24/7 Security Operations Center and leverages Microsoft Sentinel, proved to be the ideal answer.

Implemented alongside 3Cloud’s Managed Platform service, the new solution means the company now enjoys a rounded view of its IT estate and an unmatched level of protection. All services have been brought together under one platform, allowing for seamless integration whilst ensuring the integrity and security of its critical assets.

The solution consolidates various security tools including Armor Agent for Servers, CrowdStrike and Defender into a unified platform, providing the company with an array of capabilities including advanced analytics, threat intelligence, automation, incident investigation and forensics. It also gives the company a combined view and management interface for all security tools and telemetry data, simplifying monitoring and management processes to enhance the efficiency of security operations.

The inclusion of managed services by 3Cloud offers the company additional peace of mind and allows them to focus on their core responsibilities without the burden of managing complex security infrastructure.

Leveraging 3Cloud’s Managed Services and Azure expertise, alongside Armor’s robust SOC cybersecurity defences and the Microsoft security suite, the company can now effectively safeguard its digital assets and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring continuous protection against evolving threats whilst confidently transitioning into the future.
