Securing Apps and Data in the Public Cloud – It Takes a Village

Adversaries are using sophisticated tactics to bypass security defenses and infiltrate networks. The same is happening and becoming much more prevalent in public cloud environments. Data stored in the cloud becomes that much more susceptible and it’s even more imperative to ensure security measures are in place when migrating to the cloud.

Cloud infrastructure spend grew 46% in Q4 2018, exceeding US$80 billion for a full year, according to a recent industry analyst report. With this trend on the rise, customers need to start thinking about security in a dynamic fashion – secure resources in the cloud, but also across containers, serverless technologies, infrastructure-as-code.

It takes an ecosystem to address the security challenges in the cloud and keep up with the massive cloud adoption. That’s why Armor is enhancing its channel partner program and looking to collaborate with the right types of organizations who can provide more comprehensive solutions to customers across SMB, mid-size and large enterprises.

One such partner is Lightstream. Lightstream combines world-class customer service with the latest in hosted and cloud-based managed services, including advanced cloud and telecom infrastructure monitoring, managed cloud, advanced analytics, financial management and remote hands.

By using the Armor and Lightstream solutions together, customers leverage Lightstream’s trusted Cloud Foundation Framework to deploy into the cloud and layer on Armor’s technologies, services and processes to secure those workloads. This is especially valuable for customers in industries like financial services or healthcare looking to meet compliance standards. By using the two together, customers can efficiently and securely migrate to the cloud without slowing down business or breaking the bank.

Armor’s VP of Cloud Security, Rafal Los, recently had the opportunity to sit down with Lightstream’s Chief Strategy Officer, Jeff Collins to talk about cloud security. Tune in to hear their views on how the industry has changed and grown, how the shift to the cloud impacts customers, and how Lightstream and Armor work together to protect customers.
