This classification allows suppliers to sell approved applications based on standardized contracts and pricing. Services can be obtained through the online Digital Marketplace to enable organisations to search for providers that adhere to the G-Cloud framework.

Launched in 2012, the UK Government G-Cloud was designed to streamline procurement of cloud computing services by public-sector bodies in departments of the United Kingdom Government. G-Cloud 9 services will be available via the Digital Marketplace later this month. Providers fall within the following categories: cloud hosting, cloud software and cloud support.
