DALLAS and LONDON – May 23, 2017 – Armor, The First Totally Secure Cloud Company™, has been approved to sell solutions through the “G-Cloud 9” Digital Marketplace making its cloud security services available to UK public sector entities. This classification allows suppliers to sell approved applications based on standardized contracts and pricing. Services can be obtained through the online Digital Marketplace to enable organisations to search for providers that adhere to the G-Cloud framework.
“Achieving G-Cloud 9 status is an important classification for Armor because it helps us accelerate the delivery of our cloud security solutions so we can protect sensitive government information,” said Steve Gooding, director of partners and alliances EMEA, Armor. “Serving the public sector can offer more complexities due to the amount of regulation and policies, but these organizations are increasingly seeking to leverage the benefit of the cloud, which demands a strong security posture. The classification empowers us to fulfill this critical need for the government in a more timely manner.”
Launched in 2012, the UK Government G-Cloud was designed to streamline procurement of cloud computing services by public-sector bodies in departments of the United Kingdom Government. G-Cloud 9 services will be available via the Digital Marketplace later this month. Providers fall within the following categories: cloud hosting, cloud software and cloud support.
Armor G-Cloud 9 application approval will allow the company to provide Armor Anywhere, a managed cloud security solution that meets compliance standards including PCI while delivering threat intelligence, automated security orchestration and machine learning managed by an elite military-trained security operations center (SOC). With 24/7/365 managed protection, detection and response against any cyber threat, Armor provides market-leading dwell times, which is a measure of the amount of time hackers infiltrate a network.
